Bovine Lactadherin Purified FITC Labeled from Innovative Research has been purified from unpasturized bovine milk followed by fluorescein isothiocyanate conjugation. This is buffered in TBS, 1% BSA, 0.02% azide, pH 7.4, with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Lactadherin is also known as MFGE8 (milk fat globule-EGF factor 8), and is an important part of various cellular interactions. Lactadherin helps with phagocytic removal of apoptoic cells in different tissues, plays a critical role in maintaining intestinal epithelial homeostasis and promoting mucosal healing, promotes VEGF-dependent neovascularization, and is involved in cell adhesion.
