About our Founder
I've been a motorcycle enthusiast ever since I got my first toy model of a Kawasaki Ninja from my Grandpa when I was 6 years old. From then on, my passion for machines-that-move-really-fast has led me to obtain an Automotive and Vehicle Technology Degree from McMaster University. You could definitely categorize me as a 'gear-head'.
At McMaster, I worked in 3 co-op placements over the span of 16 months. With exposure to the Automotive Parts, Food Service and Law Enforcement industries, I was able to gain a broad understanding of my strengths and weaknesses.
I found out I was good at:
- Looking at problems from a different perspective
- Cross-functional team collaboration
- Absorbing technical knowledge
- Building an ATV with tank tracks in the warehouse at 9 pm on Friday with my boss (yes that actually happened)
I also learned about a few of my weaknesses:
- Get caught up in the micro-details
- Need to learn more about enterprise software (SharePoint, SQL etc)
- Mosquitoes
After graduating, I joined Accenture as a Consulting Analyst, which gave me access to one of my great passions, new technology. Since April 2016, I've worked to design and deliver a series of mobile applications for a large transit client.
On the weekends, you can find me on a soccer field, ski slope, playing my PS4 or just going for a ride on my motorcycle (her name is Sonja, a Suzuki SV650!). Whenever presented with the opportunity, I take advantage of travelling to far places to experience new cultures, languages, landscapes and activities.
On my 2,000 km motorcycle trip through Vietnam, I stopped to explore the jungle and came across a fantastic waterfall!
