Bovine Albumin Nuclease Free from Innovative Research has been prepared using a proprietary purification method, and is tested for endonuclease, exonuclease, ribonuclease, and protease (some degradation products may be present). This is a liquid solution buffered in neutral pH in 50% glycerol at 50 mg/ml, with a 90% concentration of intact BSA as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.

This product can be used as a stabilizing agent in reactions and dilutions, and as a ballast protein in precipitations where contaminating nucleases/proteases are of concern. Albumin proteins are water-soluble and bind to the cell surface receptor albondin. Serum albumin is the main plasma protein in humans and serves to help regulate oncotic pressure of the blood. It also binds water, fatty acids, hormones, pharmaceuticals, and more.
