Bovine Ribonuclease A Lyophilized from Innovative Research has been prepared from bovine pancreas and chromatographically purified. This is a lyophilized powder.
Ribonuclease A is also commonly called pancreatic ribonuclease and can be found in the pancreas of some mammals and reptiles. Bovine Ribonuclease A commonly serves as a model in research related to protein folding, disulfide bonds, protein crystallography and spectorscopy, among others. Mammilian cells are typically protected from cytotoxic effects of Ribonuclease A due to high affinity for Ribonuclease Inhibitor, which protects RNA within cells from degradation by pancreatic ribonucleases.
