This product is useful for HIV/AIDS Research . Reverse Transcriptase is able to create double-stranded DNA using an RNA template. Reverse Transcriptase enzymes are encoded and used by viruses (like HIV) that use reverse transcription as part of the replication process. These types of viruses use the enzyme to reverse-transcribe their RNA genome into DNA, then integrate the DNA into the host and replicate in tandem. HIV is able to infect humans using this enzyme.
