Bovine HDL Cholesterol Concentrate Purified from Innovative Research has been produced as a plasma fraction from bovine serum. This is a frozen liquid with a purity of greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) is one of the five main groups of lipoproteins. HDL particles are responsible for removing the fat molecules from cells needing to export these, transporting cholesterol to the liver or steroidogenic organs. Cholesterol transported to the liver is excreted into bile and therefore the intestine, and cholesterol transported to steroidogenic organs plays a role in the synthesis of steroid hormones..
